Wow – it’s been over a week since I last posted! At this rate, everyone is going to stop
reading it! =(
The only reason I have for this lack of posts is one of a
common nature: “I’m busy, busy,
dreadfully busy. You have no idea what I have to do!” {sung in sing-song
kind of way while spinning around in a circle}
Moving on away from my busy life – we have a Let’s Tend The
Garden meeting last night at the church. While the turn out was lower then we
wanted, it was still a great meeting. We were able to hear from each of the
LTTG task force leaders about what they did this past summer. Here are a few
tidbits:
- A quarter of a 1.5 mile long new trail was build near McCall, Idaho
for the USFS - Nearly 20 miles of trail was GPS for the USFS
- Vineyard Boise
hosted the first national Christian Environmental Stewardship Conference - The value of recycling has become infused into the church
Below are some examples of the testimonies we have heard about
as a result of LTTG:
- One
couple found an activity they could do together for the first time
by attending the GPS Trail Mapping outings. - Several
people have started attending church for the first time as a result of the
environmental outreaches - As
a result of the national coverage, we have been able to encourage those Believers
who thought they were the only ones caring for the environment. - The
love of God and the Gospel message has been shared to non-believers
As you can see, God is using the LTTG ministry to reach out
to those who might never set foot into a church. He is also providing a way for
us to disciple Believers as we get away from our familiar surroundings and head
outside. We are making a difference
for the Kingdom!

Outside?
What is this “outside” you speak of?
It’s called “The big blue room”
